Farm and Ranch Market Network Farm Director, Susan Littlefield, has had a love for agriculture for as long as she can remember. Her interest in agriculture brought her to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, earning a degree in Broadcast journalism and Farm Management.

Susan understands what happens on the farm and in Washington because of her ties to farming. Susan and her husband Mike, along with their three children, Bryan, Morgan and Paul, have a registered Columbia and Suffolk sheep operation south of Surprise.

Susan has been a farm broadcaster since 1990. When asked what she likes best about ag journalism, Susan said it had a lot to do with how instantly you can get the information out. She said "We have the information the farmer and ranchers needs to run their operation and all they have to do is turn on the radio. In many operations the farm broadcaster becomes part of the family, by being in the kitchen, tractor or barn throughout the day, with the information that effects their daily lives."

Susan's voice can be heard live on Monday through Saturday on stations in Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa and South Dakota.
